On the notice announcing the village's presence someone had scrawled Welcome to Dodge City in recognition of its raw and sometimes noisy character. Not all raw and noisy villages or towns were in mining areas but I discovered some part of every mining town is like that.Nevertheless we had good neighbours and pleasant surroundings and another baby.
